FIGHTER has been chosen to screen at the NewFilmmakers Los Angeles International Shorts Program July 25th, 2015 at the renown AT&T Center in downtown LA. The news came to us last week and we couldn’t be more thrilled to have our film showcased in such a manner. We feel honored to have our creation play in such an influential city amongst such amazing talent.
When the journey of FIGHTER began last year, we had never imagined that we would be presented with such opportunities to share our stories. Kelsey, Sam and I came together through our passion for filmmaking and travel. We started prepping for a film we knew nothing about. We started from scratch and continued to push forward into the unknown.
It’s crazy for me to sit and think back to the experience that was FIGHTER. The experience was far more than I could have ever imagined. Jara’s story continues to inspire me much like the audiences that watch her. While I may not be in a foreign country off filming an incredible person’s life right now, I know that in life we go through different journeys for a reason. If we went jetsetting to Paris everyday, it wouldn’t make the moments when we go super awesome. If we won awards for all of the little things, it wouldn’t make those moments where we had accomplishment mean something.
